I got Lily after the first car accident I had ever been in. My car accident was in January of 2017, the start of my last year in college. The accident was completely the fault of the other driver, my car was totaled, and I had severe muscle trauma and a concussion after. The concussion was very difficult for me. It made college much more difficult and I felt like it had broken a part of my personality in a sense. I was going to a chiropractor a few times a week and kept seeing blue pit puppies in the neighborhoods on my drive there. They were always so comforting to me. So I browsed online while at an appointment one day and by the time I made it back home, I had Lily. She was just shy of 5 weeks old. She has been attached to my hip every since. Taking care of her during my injury provided a distraction and her cuddles were just what I needed during my recovery. Needless to say she is very spoiled and included in everything I do.
