We got Lily as a puppy in 2012. My brother's teacher's dog had puppies and since we had a girl dog, at home, we got the last girl puppy that was left in that litter. We brought her home and our older dog Coco pretty much took her in as her daughter. She grew up with her sister Tootsie who we got the next year.

At home, Lily is loved by Mom and four kids who've grown up loving her these past 10 yrs. She sleeps with whoever she spent the most time with that day, and it tends to be me since I've been spending so much time working from home this year. Lily loves to go on hikes and walks with my older brother. Lily always sits with me and my sisters as we do homework to let us know we have her support.

Lily is fascinated by everything. She loves to observe. You'll see in the pictures of her on this page that she wakes up just to look out at the world around her. Her favorite game to play is hide and seek and she loves to learn new tricks. She learned how to shake my hand this past year but strictly shakes with her right paw out of respect. She is a ray of sunshine and my bestfriend.

I noticed a lump in Lily's abdomen and Lily began to tremble randomly and lost her appetite and energy. This was incredibly unusual because Lily is normally an incredibly energetic dog. I took her to AVMC for these symptoms and they said there is definitely a lump and she will need surgery to remove the growth on her spleen.

My brother and I are full-time students. We have worked to help cover household expenses, but we do not have much in savings. My mother cares for us and our two younger sisters, and money has always been tight at home. I miss my energetic girl and can't wait to have her back
