About this campaign

Every dog owner knows it takes one second for things to go from normal to completely haywire. That's what happened to Crystal M.

Her dog Lily was just fine, and then blam! Lily ended up with an entire face full of excruciatingly painful quills after a chance encounter with a porcupine. Now Crystal is panicking, she can't afford the medical bill to have them removed, and Lily is in a world of hurt.

"I got a lot of quills out but not enough," Crystal tells Waggle. "She needs to be sedated and have these removed. I've applied for several loans, including Care Credit, Scratchpay, personal loans, and credit cards. All have been denied."

Crystal created this Waggle campaign hoping kind-hearted pet lovers will help Lily. Clearly, she needs immediate attention. Everywhere she turns for help is turning into a dead end. "We recently moved and no longer have a regular vet," Crystal says. "I've applied for all types of loans and credit cards but cannot get approved and do not have a vet nearby that will accept payments."

All Crystal wants this holiday season is for Lily to be free of the quills, out of pain, and back with her family. "I've had this girl since she was born," Crystal says. "She's the sweetest girl in the world. She needs to go to an emergency vet. The only one that would give an estimate said it would cost $850 to sedate her and pull them."

Would you please help Lily get the urgent care she needs?
