About this campaign

Lincoln became my foster puppy in March when he was surrendered by an Amish breeder from Pennsylvania when he didn’t sell. I adopted him in April because my other dog, Hammy, was so happy to have a brother again after the loss of my older dog last November.

Lincoln was recently diagnosed with avascular necrosis in his hind right leg and needs FHO surgery. At only 9 months old, the surgery is the best option for him to live a pain-free life. He has health insurance, but they are considering this a pre-existing condition and will not cover the cost. He is being seen by the orthopedic surgeon at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital.

Lincoln is just the sweetest puppy. You wouldn’t know that he is in pain from his necrosis, but the doctors say that he is. Lincoln and Hammy love to run around and play together all day and especially love chewing on each other’s ears (it is so cute). We joke that I should have named him Happy, because he is just so happy all the time, but Go Birds!

Although I have pet insurance, the cost of the surgery is not being covered and is upwards of $6,000. If you want to donate to the fund for Lincoln it would be greatly appreciated!
