Little Guy and Big Guy: Bonded Brothers in Need

Pumpkin’s Rescue Club recently welcomed two incredibly sweet senior boys after their world was turned upside down. Their beloved parent was placed into a nursing home, and unfortunately, the family was unable to take them. Suddenly, these bonded companions lost the only home they had ever known.

Little Guy (7) and Big Guy (8) are completely obsessed with each other. They sleep together, groom each other, and look for one another constantly. Their bond is undeniable, and after losing so much, keeping them together is incredibly important. They are gentle, affectionate, and truly the sweetest cats — the kind that just want a soft place to rest and someone to love.

The good news is they’ve already had full veterinary workups, including exams and bloodwork. They are otherwise doing well — but both boys desperately need dental procedures. Dental disease is extremely common in cats their age and can cause significant pain, infection, and difficulty eating if left untreated.

To make sure these two best friends are comfortable and healthy, Pumpkin’s Rescue Club is working to raise funds for:

• Dental cleanings and extractions if needed

• Anesthesia and monitoring

• Pain medication and antibiotics

• Post-procedure recovery care

Dental care is often one of the most expensive — yet most important — medical needs for senior cats. Treating their teeth will relieve pain, prevent infection, and help them feel their best as they wait for a forever home together.

These boys have already lost their home — we don’t want them to lose their health too. Your donation helps ensure they can stay comfortable, happy, and ready for the next chapter of their lives — side by side, where they belong.

We are so happy to share that Little Guy and Big Guy have completed their dental procedures and are now recovering comfortably!

Thanks to your incredible generosity, both boys were able to receive the dental care they urgently needed. Dental disease can be extremely painful, especially for senior cats, and treating it has made a tremendous difference in their comfort and quality of life. Their procedures went well, and they are healing beautifully.

Through every step of this journey, these two best friends have remained inseparable. Whether they're curled up together for a nap, grooming one another, or simply keeping each other company, their bond continues to be one of the sweetest things we've ever seen. After losing the only home they had ever known, being able to stay together has meant everything.

Because of your support, Little Guy and Big Guy no longer have to live with the pain and discomfort caused by dental disease. They can now focus on what they do best—being loving companions and enjoying the safety and comfort of their foster home while they wait for their next chapter.
