Lizzie is a 3-year-old Dachshund mix that was brought in to the Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital with severe injuries from a hit by car. She has a fracture through her hip joint that requires immediate surgery. Lizzie’s owner was unable to pay for care and subsequently abandoned her. After five days the owner finally agreed to relinquish Lizzie so she can get the care she desperately needs.
