About this campaign
John H. and his dog, Loki, have been a dynamic duo for the last 12 years, and right now, they need your help!
"Loki has been my companion; he has been my prince since he was six weeks old," John tells Waggle. "Loki and I have been homeless since July 1, 2018. He has been by my side through so many ups and downs in my life."
Recently John brought Loki to the Grand Avenue Veterinary Clinic. "I took Loki to the veterinarian for a growth on his left ear that had opened and was bleeding. At that time, the veterinarian determined that Loki would need surgery to remove a tumor and likely a portion of his ear. This surgery would help prevent further injury, future infection, improve his hearing, and prevent future spread of cancer," John says.
But John is going through some tough financial times, and he can't afford Loki's surgery. "I am currently on Social Security disability as my primary income. I do work, but with being on disability, I am limited to the number of hours I can work."
Not being able to pay for Loki's care breaks John's heart. "I know Loki still has lots of love and support to give me, and I would be devastated to lose him. Loki is my best friend. He doesn't leave my side and shows everyone love. He is always the first to say hello to anyone he meets. He has expressive facial features, and his tail is always wagging. He is an extremely social dog and makes friends anywhere he goes, both human and other animals."
John also tells Waggle that Loki provides him with so much support that he finds hard to receive from others. "He is my shadow and is always by my side. He loves to snuggle under the covers with me and makes me feel loved unconditionally, no matter what we are going through in our life together."
Please help John save his best friend!
