About this campaign

Loki joined us at 8 weeks old as a gift for my sister after a suicide attempt. He was too energetic for her, so my husband and I raised him. He lived with us in Las Vegas for 9 years before we moved to Oregon after his PRA diagnosis. In Oregon, he was diagnosed with glaucoma. Now 13, blind, and in pain, he’s our beloved furbaby, and we’ve adapted our home to keep him safe and happy.

We’re seeking financial support for Loki’s double enucleation surgery due to his Progressive Retinal Atrophy and advanced glaucoma, with eye pressure measured at 47 mmHg. His pain has steadily worsened, and since his vision is already gone, eye drops are no longer a viable long-term solution. This surgery is essential to relieve his suffering and restore his comfort.

Loki is our sweet, mischievous corgi mix who’s been our emotional anchor for 13 years. He loves squeaky toys, sunbathing, and especially grabbing cardboard to shred while mom puts sparkling water cans away. Though blind, he navigates confidently and still greets us with tail wags and snuggles. He’s our joy, our comfort, our heart, our family.

With rising costs and no increase in income, we’re living paycheck to paycheck. This unexpected procedure is beyond our means. We don’t usually ask for help, but Loki is our world, and we want to give him the comfort and care he deserves in his final years.
