Rescuers discovered Lola in a creek bed, alone and unable to move. She was brought to a rural shelter in Kentucky, but unfortunately, they didn't have the money to pay for the urgent medical care she needs.

Thankfully, One by One Animal Advocates came to the rescue. They stepped up when no one else could, offering their support and resources to give Lola a fighting chance at life.

Volunteers raced the pup to an animal hospital. X-rays revealed no broken bones, but her back end is so stiff she can't bend her legs at the knee. It could be muscle atrophy or a neurological issue.

Lola needs to see veterinary specialists for a diagnosis and treatment. She likely needs physical therapy to try and get her legs working.

"One By One Animal Advocates needs your support so we can continue giving dogs like Lola a second chance at happiness," Heather A., with the nonprofit organization, tells Waggle. "Please give today! Every dollar helps."
