About this campaign
Last year, I was driving over the road and was looking for a dog to come along with me. I posted on Facebook if anyone had any ideas on where to find a dog. A friend of mine replied that someone was fostering some dogs and wanted to know if I was interested on meeting them. I went and met Lola she was instantly interested in me and wouldn't let me out of her site. We were instantly attached.
Lola was very timid at first, but my dad above us all won her trust at first. While I'm at work he watches after her and she never leaves his side. If he's outside working on the garden she's there. If he's inside napping, she is definitely there. She has brought a so much joy to my dad's life. He doesn't express his feelings much to us but he's so affectionate with Lola.
Since January, work has been unsteady. Shortly after being laid off of work, the pandemic hit us and work was almost impossible to find. If we could find the help to get her back to being able to run and play with other dogs. She needs to be able to run free and explore!
My dog was running one day and she came back to me limping. She favored her left rear leg and wouldn't put weight on it. I took her to the vet and they found that she ruptured her Crucial Ligament. The surgery she needs is the TPLO. Since I haven't been able to collect the funds, we've had to keep her really quiet. I've applied for different help but have been unsuccessful
My dog has an awesome friendship with the neighbors dogs. They are two houses apart and when each dog is in their own yard they communicate with barks back and forth. Lola also loves her cousin, Jia a pug that my sister owns. They chase eachother for hours on end. With Lola's current injury she hasn't been able to play with either friend and just cries when she see's them from far.
