Lola is a 6 year old German Shepherd Dog in Pensacola, FL, who needs $5,000 for Torn Cranial Cruciate Ligament Surgery.

I got Lola from the Joy Committee. Her mother was rescued, and the rescuer didn't know that Betty White (the dog's name because she was solid white) was pregnant. That night, Betty had three puppies, 2 white males and one black female. I called the next day to see if they had any German Shepherds to adopt. That's when they told me about Betty and her puppies. That's how I got Lola.

Late one Friday afternoon, Lola and I were playing fetch, and on the third time I threw the rope, she went down and yelped. I thought she broke her leg. The next morning, I took her to the hospital to have her checked out. Several weeks later, we ended up setting up an appointment with Dr. Montgomery. He is with Davis Animal Hospital. The cost is $5000. to fix her.

Lola came into my life when I needed it the most. She loves me no matter what, and I love her no matter what. She is part of the family, and she has her own special toys and knows their names. Lola is very protective of me, and she loves it when my grandkids come over and play with her.

I am retired and work part-time. I help support my oldest sister and our nephew, and try to pay my bills as well. Lola is my heart and my life. We enjoy going on walks and playing fetch. Because of her injury, we can't do any of them.I miss our playtime. Please help us.
