About this campaign

I adopted Lola as a tiny kitten from a Miami shelter. We've been together for 13 years. Her name was inspired by an animated children's series, Charlie & Lola. Lola, was a quirky little girl described by her brother Charlie as "small and very funny" who loved playing and tended to be a bit of a drama queen so it was a very fitting name for my regal little beauty!

Although she's a teenager now she still loves to play like a kitten. Our favorite game is the classic chasing, grabbing, and pouncing upon a ribbon. She's an intuitive little creature who always knows when to come in for a snuggle when you need it the most. Lola can be pretty chatty which I don't mind at all especially since she's a great listener, too.

I've been unemployed for some time. I don't have any savings. I have poor credit so I was declined for Care Credit. All I want is to see my precious baby healthy again. She means everything to me. I would be so grateful for any assistance you could provide.

Lola developed a lump on her nose that became red and inflamed. She was distressed and in pain. Dr. Uman at VCA Veterinary Specialists of CT was concerned and drew cells from the mass for testing. In a few days I received the call and heard the words I had been dreading; it was a mast cell tumor. They wanted to schedule surgery two days later, but I could not afford the care she needed.

Lola's the sweetest girl who likes to fall asleep with her little head in the palm of my hand. She enjoys relaxing in the tub, not in a bath, of course! But apparently the water from that faucet is much better than the water in her bowl. She is crazy for Churu treats and can get very demanding when it comes to snack time. Whatever Lola wants, Lola gets. (You knew that was coming.)
