Loofa is a 3 year old Boxer in Montpelier, VT, who needs $800 for Surgery, Anesthesia, Tooth Extraction, Hospitalization.

My son wanted a dog to join our family a few years ago. We have another rescue dog, but she is mostly bonded to me. So we found a humane society in Missouri that just got a litter of puppies from a large boxer mother who wandered under someone's porch and gave birth to 10 babies. We didn't specify which one we got, and when we met the van in White River Jct., Loofa was the last one in the van.

Loofa loves to chew on anything and everything. He must have bit down on something that caused trauma to his mouth and tooth. The tooth in the bottom front is loose, bruised, and painful, according to the vet. The vet at Onion River Animal Hospital says it needs to be extracted. He is a good boy and we love him so much. We want to end his pain, and for him to enjoy eating and chewing once again.

Loofa loves to cuddle with my son, and Loofa's 'sister', Sophie, and our cat, Atticus. He also loves sniffing all the spring smells outdoors. This time of year he is going nuts with delight over spring coming. He also loves bounding around in the snow and mud. He lies down under the kitchen table while I am cooking and doing dishes and keeps me company.

The expense of his medical bill is outside of my budget at this time of year in Vermont, when I have extra oil, electricity, and plowing bills. We are already slightly behind with extra expenses, but I still want to take care of this wonderful dog.
