Louie is our 8-year-old French Bulldog and beloved family member living with my wife, 3-year-old son, and me in Ashburn, VA. We named him Louie because he’s “the king” — he’s always had a regal personality and presence. He’s affectionate, gentle, deeply bonded with our son, and has been by our side through every major chapter of our lives.

Louie, our 8-year-old French Bulldog, was diagnosed with a heart-base tumor causing recurrent cardiac tamponade (fluid compressing his heart) and fluid around his lungs. He underwent emergency pericardial window surgery and now requires radiation and oncology treatment. Care has been provided through RVRC, CVCA Cardiology, and The Oncology Service in Leesburg, VA.

Louie has always had a calm, loving, and regal personality that made him feel larger than life despite his small size. He’s affectionate, deeply bonded with our 3-year-old son, and proudly protects our home from squirrels, birds, etc.. Louie loves naps and cuddling so much that we call him our “pup-tato” — our little couch potato. He’s been a constant source of comfort, joy, and companionship
