Louie is a 0-year-old Lemon Bassett Hound in Burton, MI, who needs $1,250 for BODY SCAN.

I adopted Louie at 1 month old. He is a Lemon Bassett Hound. His mother did not care for him and she had also crushed him into a wall. He was the smallest pup from the liter. Although Louie was hurt severely by his mother he still held on to dear life. We did not know the extent of damage done until today.

Louie may only be 2 months old, but he is very well loved and he knows it. He has a very energetic personality and very loveable. Interacts great with children and his new fur sister and brothers. Louie has thrived since living with me and my husband, but is now declining. His new fur siblings have done nothing but care for him since he came to us.

I was told by Michigan State University Vet that Louie is very sick from his mom crushing him. He is going to have very costly vet bills. Todays visit cost 1500.00, I am suppose to find out later today a for sure diagnosis. I really want to give Louie a SHOT AT LIFE!

Louie is now in the ICU at MSU in critical condition. He has been put in an oxygen box. The Dr. said that his lung is possibly collapsed or there could be something wrong with his Larynx. Louie was sent to MSU by our regular Veterinarian. Dr. Childs could not figure out what is going on with him. He ran multiple test, just could not figure out what is wrong with him.

Louie has ears that are longer than he stands. He is so cute when he tries to walk and trips over them or when he is trying to catch his ears with his mouth. He loves to play with his fur siblings...Sami, Sophie and Boomer. He also loves to snuggle up into our neck when it is time to go to bed or he will nap at my feet by space heater under my desk while I am working.
