Louie is a 2-year-old Husky in Wilmington, OH, who needs $648 for Melarsomine.

Louie was given to me as a gift and is my PTSD service dog. We have even been in the newspaper. Louie not only helps me but others around me that are upset and need comforting. Louie has a sister Jinx that loves him and misses being able to play with him. Louie is a wonderful companion to myself and his sister.

Louie loves people and other dogs. He loves to watch birds and cats. He sleeps with me every night but since he has been on prednisone, he hasn't been resting well. Louie has been spending his time watching everything going on around him since he has been sick. It has been very challenging keeping Louie calm and on active restrictions

Louie is the most calming and affectionet dog. He has helped greatly with my recovery as well as helping others that he comes in contact with. Louie is very vocal and loves to carry on conversations and often voices his opinion on everything. I hope that after his lengthy treatment he can get back to normal.

Louie was diagnosed with heartworms 12/22/22, he is currently on Antibiotics and prednisone but will require the expensive shots to get rid of the heartworms. At present Louie doesn't feel the greatest he gets tired easy and out of breath. He is on activity restrictions and spends most of his time resting.

I am currently unemployed and spent all my emergency funds on Louies vet care. I am actively trying to sell items and borrow money to get Louie healthy again. Louie is currently very picky with what he will eat since he has been sick and often will only eat chicken.
