Help Love Find Relief from Years of Ear Pain

For the last five years, this sweet 9-year-old German Shepherd mix has been living with chronic ear infections that have progressively worsened despite years of veterinary care. What began as recurring infections has now developed into severe, end-stage ear disease in her left ear. Both of her ears have suffered painful hematomas, and every day is filled with discomfort.

Love constantly scratches at her ears, shakes her head, pants from the pain, cries, and paces anxiously because she can't find relief. Recently, her condition became even more frightening. The infection caused her to lose her balance, develop a severe head tilt, and experience facial paralysis on one side. She began walking in circles, stopped eating and drinking, and became so weak that her family had to carry her outside just so she could use the bathroom.

Her veterinarian has worked tirelessly to help, but the medications they've tried haven't been enough. Now, Love urgently needs additional diagnostics—including sedation for a thorough ear examination, bloodwork, and an ear culture—to determine the best course of treatment. Once the underlying cause is identified, her veterinary team can prescribe the medications she desperately needs to finally bring her relief.

The total cost of Love's diagnostics and treatment is estimated at $751. Thanks to a generous $300 grant from Paws 4 A Cure, much of the expense has already been covered. Her devoted owner now needs to raise the remaining $451 so Love can move forward with the care that could finally end years of suffering.
