Lovey has lived with early kidney disease and a heart murmur for several years now. This past week, she took a turn for the worse and is currently hospitalized at the Veterinary Emergency Center of Manchester after outpatient treatment was not enough. She has anemia, a UTI , and a kidney infection. She had not eaten or pooped in 6 days. Although she is drinking, she is dehydrated.

Lovey is special because she is a fighter, a survivor! We are very attached. She watches over me. She loves to climb trees, is as quick as lightning, and could do somersaults in the air back in the day. She’s a bit of a scaredy cat but can come to trust the trustworthy. She’s obsessed with tuna water. She recently learned to use pet stairs. She loves to drink from a running faucet. And my cup!

I am single and my income is very limited due to a job loss. Vet expenses tally almost $7000 just this week. Lovey is the light of my life. I can’t give up on her. She helped me through grieving Zack and a serious sudden illness of my own. She deserves to be healthy again.
