Luca is a 5 year old Mix-Breed in Lantana, FL, who needs $265 for diagnostics and treatment for limp.

A few weeks ago, a community cat named Luca showed up at a feeding station limping badly. His pain was obvious, but thankfully, Florida’s Forgotten Felines was able to trap him and rush him to the vet.

X-rays showed that Luca had a serious injury requiring strict rest. The vet recommended he be confined for six weeks to give his leg a chance to heal before rechecking. If his injury doesn’t heal on its own, Luca may need a complicated surgery to repair it.

Since then, Luca has been recovering in a volunteer’s bedroom. He’s on pain medication, and to everyone’s relief, he’s been doing very well so far. In just a few weeks, he’ll go back for repeat x-rays to see if his leg is healing properly—or if surgery will be needed to give him a pain-free life.
