Lucius is my 4-year-old shorthair cat. I adopted him from a shelter when he was around 3 months old, and he's been my baby ever since. He's gentle and calm, acts independent but secretly the biggest cuddlebug. He loves giving kisses and hugs and and napping in the sun on our balcony. He isn’t the most vocal but, when you do hear him meow, it means he is wandering the house with his favorite toy.

Lucius has tooth resorption, and his roots are exposed, which is extremely painful. It's gotten worse over time-he drools constantly with blood mixed in, avoids having his face touched, isolates himself, and overgrooms until he bleeds. He needs dental surgery at Alpharetta Animal Hospital which they estimated will be $850-1250 depending on procedure length. This is urgent, as his pain is severe.

Lucius is my world in every sense.
I've struggled with mental health tor years, and I now live to love him. He sleeps tucked into my neck every night, giving me kisses until he falls asleep. He’s so affectionate and gentle. Watching him lose his personality to pain has been heartbreaking. He deserves comfort, he deserves to feel okay.

I'm currently out of work due to a progressive medical condition and waiting on SSDI. My partner works nonstop to keep us afloat and we should be back on our feet in a few months but Lucius simply cannot wait any longer for relief. It’s gotten too severe.
