Lucky is a 9 year old Mix-Breed in Harmony, FL, who needs $2,000 for Surgery to Remove Lipoma.

In early 2016, we had just moved, and the kids had changed schools. Our dog was completely attached to our oldest son, and our youngest son wanted his own dog, who would love him as much as Marley loved Zack. A friend shared a post from a local pet rescue & we arranged a visit with his foster. We took him home that day, named him Lucky & he’s been a part of our lives ever since.

A year ago, Lucky developed a lump under his right front leg. With the help of our vet, the lump was determined to be a benign fatty tumor/lipoma & we agreed to monitor. Recently, the lump started growing bigger, his front leg began to turn outward & our vet said it’s time for surgery. But now, his platelet count has dropped too low for surgery & we now need a specialist at BluePearl Pet Hospital.

Lucky is so special. He’s afraid of everything, even cardboard boxes, & we say he's a “pilot-fish” b/c loves to be close to his humans, especially standing between anyone cooking & the cabinets. He is usually lazy but loves his walks so much he stands proud with his chest out, head high, ears flopping & a huge smile on his little dog face. Every time we come home, he greets us with his fav toy.

We’ve spent so much on diagnostics already (+$2k) & the cost of surgery is just so high (+$5,500). Without surgery, he’ll lose the use of his leg. Dillon goes to college this year & that’s a lot of change for this mama & him, I can't bear the thought of also losing Lucky :(
