About this campaign

Lucky came into our lives on October 7th, 2020. He was roaming around my husbands construction site and wouldn’t leave my husbands side. My husband brought him home to us in a time where we needed him the most. I work an emotionally stressful job as an Advocate at a Children’s Advocacy Center. Lucky has been there for me through those hard days where I felt stressed and overwhelmed.

Lucky is the baby at our house! He is a ball of fun and plays with my boys non stop. He comes and looks for you when he wants to play, but won’t hesitate to let you know he wants attention by coming to you and extending his little paw like “Hi! I’m here! Pay attention to me!” He will come on our bed and lay down next to me while I’m studying or getting homework done. He is always on my side!

They have my care credit and made a $2000 temporary deposit on Friday, but the vet has shared that the cost will be roughly anywhere from $2000-$3000. If I’m able to gather donations through here, I can use less through my care credit and leave room for future expenses.

The vet informed us that Lucky’s condition will likely present itself again in the future due to his age. Lucky has a urinary obstruction that although is common for cats, it’s not common for kittens Lucky’s age. This worries me because if and when the problem presents itself, I’m not sure I will have another $2000-$3000 to pay again without the care credit.

Lucky is just always there for us! He knows when we are having a tough day and will come and cuddle with us. He makes us laugh non-stop when he is chasing the round ornament’s from the christmas tree, our trying to climb through the clean dishes to get to the kitchen window. As soon as we get home, he runs to us excited to see us. I can’t imagine getting home without Lucky.
