Lucky is a 2-year-old Pug in Sandy Spring, MD, who needs $2,000 for Anethesia, CT, Tracheobronchoscopy, Endotracheal Wash, IDEXX Aerobic and Anaerobic Cultures, EVP Fluid Analysis, Cornell Mycoplasma Culture.

Lucky joined our family on St. Patrick's Day 2021 for my son, Shane's 10th birthday. He was 9 weeks old and the sweetest pup. He joined our other dog Lucy, a 3 year old Boston Terrier. Prior to Lucky's arrival, we sadly had to rehome another dog due to fighting between Lucy and that dog, that despite months of trying it couldn't be resolved. My kids were excited to welcome Lucky to our family.

Lucky and Lucy get along marvelously, thankfully. Lucky is silly and and quite the peppy little guy. He loves chasing all 3 of my son's around in the backyard. He thinks my youngest son, Keegan is his favorite toy! He is also quite the cuddle-bug and loves to take his naps on your lap or cradled in your arms (his favorite!). He acts like he is a baby, my husband and I call him Perma-Baby!

We found out very early on, that Lucky is almost completely blind left eye and has reduced vision in his right. But that doesn't slow him down one bit! But as a result, he puts almost everything he comes across in his mouth to explore it! We take care of Lucky's eyes by seeing an opthamologist and putting a special ointment on multiple times a day. It has worked and his eyes are doing great!

June 2022, we sponsored a college baseball player to live at our home for the summer. He accidentally left a basket of laundry on the floor of our laundry room. Lucky snuggled in this basket and found Tide Pods. He chewed open the pod and became very ill. He spent a week in the hospital in an Oxygen Crate and almost died. Thankfully, he recovered! Months later, he developed recurring pneumonia.

We just finished paying off the $5k loan from Scratch Pay for his hospitalization. Since his 2 rounds of aspirated pneumonia in 3 months (another $3k) are highly unusual, our vet referred us to specialists and they need to do a surgery which is $6k. HELP US HELP LUCKY!
