When my girls were small we decided to adopt a best friend for them. Without a doubt, we were going to the animal shelter. Out off all the barking dogs, Lucky was the only one jumping 3 feet into the air onto the cage door trying to get our attention.... over and over. That was it and he was the one. he has been our baby ever since. He has been a fierce protector and loving buddy ever since.

Lucky is and has always been the alpha. Mighty but fierce. Clear from day one to our other furry friends who have always been much bigger. He is the first one to bark an alert, and will not hesitate to nip anyone that may be a potential threat to his humans. He runs the house, sleeps on the couch/bed, gives the most love & kisses, and despite his age always wants to play with his toys.

Lucky is a feisty little firecracker! When he goes for a walk, he holds his head up high, and walks with a mission and a wiggle. This little dog has a giant personality. He a HUGE part of our lives and a very loved member of our family. Although he is older, with gray hairs now, he is still a puppy at heart and doesnt hesitate to steal the new dog toy right out of our Labs mouth.

Last year, he had a life threatening bladder stone blockage. The vet was able to perform a miracle and he survived. But has been on special urinary so food ever since that is very expensive for us. We have continued to buy it but it has not been easy. Now, due to his age, his teeth have quickly deterioated and he needs them removed. Nordhoff Veterinary Hospital in Chatsworth is our vet.

Im a single mom, with 2 kids &2 dogs. Times are tough- rent &expenses are very high. I dont have the luxury of an emergency fund or savings. Doing what I can to make ends meet and take care of my family, which includes our furry friends. Breaks my heart hes suffering!
