About this campaign

Alissa M. tells Waggle she received the news that no pet owner ever wants to hear. "We were told Lucky likely has a brain tumor," she says.

Alissa wants answers and a definitive diagnosis for her beloved dog, but she can't afford the specialist. "We can try steroids, take him home, try a neurologist (specialty veterinarian), which would cost thousands, or we can let him go. We want Lucky to have a chance to fight for his life. He's too young to go. We're not ready," Alissa says.

Lucky holds an extraordinary place in Alissa's heart, which is breaking now due to the situation. "This is very unexpected, and a specialist is out of our reach without help. He's a huge part of our family. He deserves to live," she says.

She rescued him off the street and nursed him back to health seven years ago. "He was very underweight and had all types of worms and issues. We took care of him, and he was our first baby. Lucky is a very sweet and loving dog. He enjoyed life until he got sick. Lucky is an inside dog. We finally bought a house and got land just for him to enjoy," Alissa adds.

Lucky also has fans everywhere he goes. He loves to play with his sister Chloe and brother, Goliath. He's the sweetest dog anyone has ever met. He does so well around children and loves his daddy and mommy very much. Lucky loves to play with the children, run around when he can, and act silly. He's literally the sweetest dog you will ever meet.

"He's the best friend anyone could have and the most perfect dog. He also loves to get packages. He barks at the mailman even though they are friends now," Alissa says.

Can you help Lucky get the care and answers he deserves?
