Lucy is a 15-year-old Rat Terrier in Cathlamet , WA, who needs $1,300 for Dental Work.

Lucy is between 15 and 16 years old. We got her as a rescue from my brother who no longer wanted her. I believe she was around one year of age at most possibly younger. My twin boys who will be 17 on March 22nd were just under two years old when we took her in. She has been and still is very attached and protective over her boys. She cries when they are not within her sight.

Lucy spends a lot of her time resting due to her age, but she still loves to go on car rides and is most happy when she is with her boys. Lucy has some other brothers and sisters in the home that are not human but dogs like her. Lucy is the oldest of the pack. Lucy is very special to our family. She has definitely stolen all of our hearts ESPECIALLY her boys. Lucy loves to play still even at her age, of course they are short playtimes due to her age she gets tired very easily. We do have a payment plan in place of $215 per month for 6 months but as mentioned below we had just had another expensive vet bill and can not really afford the monthly payment.

We noticed that Lucy had a lump under both of her eyes we didn’t know what it was at first but then all of a sudden one lump grew much larger than the other and when I touched it she yelped very loudly. I then figured out the lumps were both abscess in her mouth. We took her to Lower Columbia Vet in Longview WA who had helped us just the week before with an emergency.

We are on a very tight income and live paycheck to paycheck trying hard to get caught up on all our bills. As I mentioned we had an emergency the week before that cost us $752.00 then we noticed her abscesses. Her bill came to just over $1500. We do have payments set up
