About this campaign
My name is Sara, and I rescued my sweet Lucy Lou from the humane society in Boise, Idaho almost 10 years ago. Since she came into my life, she has been a constant source of joy and love for me. I am on permanent disability and she has acted as an emotional support animal for me through the years. I live with my younger brother and two cats.
Lucy is a very loving and expressive dog. We have our own language of love and she communicates with me in her own special way. When I have panic attacks she does not leave my side, she lays against me and licks me until I have calmed down. She sleeps right next to my bed, or on the bed with me, and follows me everywhere I go. We are bonded and attached at the hip, she is my best friend.
Lucy is a unique dog. She is very expressive and loves to chew bones, go on walks, and especially, go on car rides. She goes everywhere with me, as she is my emotional support animal, and I tend to get more panic attacks when she is not with me. I love her more than I've ever loved anything in the world. She loves other dogs and cats and loves to go to the river and play.
Lucy got sick a week ago with pancreatitis and is not recovering well, due to the fact that I struggle to get her care because of being on disability and being on a fixed income. She is being treated at Viking Veterinary Hospital by Dr.s Meloche and Dr. Lonchar. She needs treatment to be able to recover from this, and there is no way I can afford it on my own.
I am on permanent disability, and am on a fixed income. I work when I can, but am only allowed to work a few hours a week, so I don't make very much money. I have rent, vast medical bills and other financial obligations. Lucy means everything to me and I need her to get well
