July 3rd 2012 my cousins boxer went into labor. His air conditioning was broken and his house was hot so he asked if I could take mom and pups to my house and watch them for a week or so while he worked on getting it fixed. In return, I was given litter pick of the 9 pups... I chose Lucy because I felt a connection.

When Lucy was three years old, I was forced to rehome her due to a bad relationship and living situation for myself. I found her a great home with her other Mom and remained in touch with her via texts and pictures for a few years and was pleased she was in a good place, but my heart ached to have her in my life again.

I thought of Lucy every day and missed her companionship a great deal for nearly 3.5 years . Missing her human like personality left a hole in my life as if I was missing my own human child. After three and a half years apart, My mom saw That Lucy was posted on a pet group needing a new home, as her other mother had to part with her for personal reasons.

I could not get her back in my now much better and more stable life, fast enough!!! When I picked her up our bond was still there and that connection we had has only grown stronger since! She is my registered emotional support animal and I do not know how I could ever survive this world if I lost her.

My Lucy dog has suddenly become sick and I'm in desperate need of any possible donations to cover vet fees ! She is currently being kept for testing at Wasson Memorial vet clinic. In lakeport California.
