About this campaign

Meet Ludo. This sweet little kid is my first foster fail, I had him and his two siblings since they were 4 weeks old after their litter was rescued from under a collapsing building. Since having them, this little potato wormed his way into my heart. He is exuberant about everything he does, he loves to be in your lap, and he has grown into such a wonderful baby boy.

Yesterday, I went to my parents ranch in the country, a place he is extremely familiar with. But this time, he saw a car coming down the road and ran all the way down our driveway at the car. This car barely even slowed and I was too far away to stop them. This car clipped him and drove on, didn’t even stop. He came limping back and we rushed to the EV. We found a fractured tibia, needing surgery.

This kid had to fight for his life from day one. He had to get a blood transfusion at 4 weeks old and since then, has grown into such a wonderful, exuberant, friendly, loving, playful boy. He always reminds me when it’s dinner time, he loves to snuggle with his grandma, he’s every dogs best friend as soon as he meets them. I have never seen such a good, well behaved puppy.

I am in my mid twenties and living independently. I have 2 other senior dogs who just finished their own vet crises due to age concerns, and I am struggling to pay that down. This surgery will cost thousands of dollars and I know he needs it. Any help would be so appreciated
