Ludwig is a 1-year-old Pitbull Mix in Avon, OH, who needs $2,000 for Hospitalization, Wound Treatment, and Surgery.

Ludwig was found cowering behind shopping carts outside of a store. He was emaciated, had open sores covering his body, and an open wound on his tail. He crawled between the legs of his rescuers and curled up on intake.

Once Ludwig arrived to the veterinary clinic, it was discovered he had a fracture in his foot and his tail was broken and would need to be amputated. He was also very bloated and x-rays revealed his belly is very enlarged.

Due to all of his medical issues, Ludwig is being hospitalized. He is receiving medicated soaks on his foot, getting rehydrated with fluids, and slowly gaining weight. His belly is being closely monitored as surgery may be required if the bloating does not decrease.

Once he regains some strength, his tail will be amputated. Despite all of the suffering and pain Ludwig has experienced, he is very sweet and cooperative for his treatments at West Park Animal Hospital.
