About this campaign
Luigi came into my life a little over 3 years ago, he was fostered and cared for under an adoption agency. I wasn’t really set on getting a cat at the time, but as soon as I’d seen Luigi on the agencies website I fell in love with the boy. We’ve been best friends since and have spent almost any time I get off work lounging around, being lazy together. He’s the sweetest little guy you’d ever meet.
3 days ago Luigi started acting unusual, when I had woken up and he had peed the bed next to me I knew there was an emergency and took him to the ER immediately. Luigi had a urinary blockage and a UTI. I’ve been advised he’s doing okay at the moment but may require a surgery called a Perineal Urethrostomy, if I’m unable to afford the surgery…euthanasia. That is not an option for me.
Luigi had a brother and sister, Loki (our Husky) and Titten (5 month old Black cat). He loves them both very much but makes sure they know who’s boss! He’s a very loving cat, the sweetest guy you’d ever meet and never fails to make anyone’s heart melt. Him running to the door when I come home, or jumping into the bed to lay on my chest. He’s all of our best friend.
It’s hard for anybody in this economy to come up with the money they’re needing, I’ve just paid 3k out of pocket for his initial stay at the hospital. His surgery will require another 2k at least. I can’t fathom putting a 4 year old cat down.
