Lulu is a 9-year-old Toy Poodle in Bentonville , AR, who needs $2,000 for knee dysplasia and torn ACL .

I've had my baby since she was 5 weeks old. I got her as a companion for me to help my anxiety. I became disabled due to chronic health issues so I live on social security. We're basically inseparable, I'll barely let her do an overnight or two with my family if I can't care for her. It's just myself and Lulu, in our little home. I want her as healthy as possible.

Lulu is very much loved by me and my entire family. I don't refer to her as my pet, she's my baby. She has human brothers, grandma , nephew and uncle. Honestly I don't think she realizes she's not human herself. She's my Diva. If another dog is brought around she let's them know this is her domain.

I don't want her in pain. She still has a good chance for life. But without the surgery she'll be in pain, arthritis has already set in. With my low income, I can't possibly afford this. She needs help.

Lulu suffered an ACL tear in May. I didn't know what had happened until she just kept limping. I took her to the vet 4 weeks after. I was told she had knee dysplasia and the tear. I took her for a 2nd opinion and was told her knee and they didn't want to fix her. I got a 3rd opinion and she is pretty bad and needs surgery. I can't possibly afford it. She's a healthy loving baby other than this.

She is such a loving and caring baby. If I'm not feeling well, she snuggles up as close as she can to me and lays so still. If she's not feeling well I cuddle her like an infant. If the family visits she's wild about her brother, my oldest son, she begs to be picked up and loved. She cries when he leaves. She loves to have the telephone on speaker so she can hear her grandma talk to her.
