LuLu is a 9 year old Mix-Breed in Chicago, IL, who needs $2,000 for CCL Surgery.

LuLu came into our lives 10 years ago, when she was 3 months old, after I purchased her from Happiness is Pet. Someone had broken into our home, and my daughter thought we needed a pet to guard and protect our home: our little shitzu mix, LuLu.

LuLu has two CCL tears in her hind legs. In September 2025, her left leg started, and she started hopping in pain. I took her to the Midwest Animal Hospital in Orland for treatment. She was given medication for pain. In October, her symptoms got worse, the meds and the rest didn't work. The day before Thanksgiving, I heard the most horrifying of her yelping for help. She has torn her right one.

LuLu is our first dog and a constant source of love and protection. She is smart and always knows when we need comfort. She helped me through Covid, my dad’s passing in February 2022, and, most recently, my nephew’s death in October 2025. LuLu isn’t just a pet — she is family, healing our hearts with her loyal and gentle presence.

I’m living on a fixed income with no emergency savings, and every month feels like a struggle to cover basic needs. One unexpected expense can throw everything off. I’m doing my best to stay afloat, but the financial pressure is constant and overwhelming.
