Lulu is a 4-year-old English Bulldog in Columbus, OH, who needs $2,000 for TPLO Surgery.

Lulu's previous family wanted to give her the best life possible so she was given to me in September 2019. My rescue Beanie loved Lulu immediately upon meeting her, playing for hours around the living room. Her puppy energy brought life for Beanie and helped heal our heart from losing our beloved Huxley a year earlier.

Lulu loves to be the bed or the couch napping. Most of the time if we can't find her she looks outside at the birds in complete awe or looks at her Grandma while she chops watermelon begging for a treat. Her uncle picks her up and down the stairs so her knees aren't stressed and plays tug o' war so she doesn't run.

The best thing about her is how she keeps me in the present. Whenever I have a panic attack or a depressive episode there she is asking to play fetch for a distraction. I can't imagine my life without her goofy and sweet nature. Everytime I walk through the door and see her, nothing else matters but her butt wiggles and kisses.

In February 2023, we noticed her limping on her right back while playing fetch. We stopped activity immediately and put her on crate rest hoping to heal her after a week or two. After no improvement we took her to OSU Veterinary Hospital and she had a torn ACL on her right and partial on her left back as well. Lulu is cleared to start surgery.

The injury was unexpected and no savings could be stashed for emergencies as I'm low income. It's heartbreaking seeing my baby girl's muscle wasting away around her leg and her not being able to play like she's used to all day. I want to be a good dog mom and see her happy and healthy again.
