Lulu is a 8-year-old English Bulldog in Oceanside , CA, who needs $1,000 for BRAF Cancer Screening Test.

We rescued Lulu (or should I say she rescued us) when she was 5 years old from Southern California Bulldog Rescue 4 years ago this coming November. Every person who has met her loves her. She is the joy of my husband and my life and we don't know what we would do without her. We could not have chosen a better dog for us, but like I said she really chose us.

I am disabled and she is my companion. My husband is an Active Duty United States Marine and is pending a deployment. When my husband goes out to the garage to tinker she has to be with him or she will whine and cry by the door. She needs us as much as we need her. She loves people but not other dogs. She thinks all people are her people.

Lulu is too funny. When it is time to eat (which is always according to her) she will dance hopping from one leg to the other. (She will sometimes do "the bucking bronco".) She sits, stays and shakes hands for her treats. She sleeps between my husband and I at the bottom of the bed but prefers between the pillows when she can get away with it.

In March of this year Lulu needed several teeth pulled and also had to have her gums reconstructed due to necrosis. Otherwise until recently she was pretty health. She did have Demodicosis and was treated when we first got her. (The rescue was already treating her prior.) She had to have her tail amputated before the rescue had her. She now has a mass in her bladder that may be cancer.

We exhausted all our emergency funds and maxed out our credit for the teeth and gums last March and we only have one income which is that of my husbands. It would mean the world to us to have the funds to get the much needed test for cancer done.
