Lulu has been part of our family since she was a baby. She lived with me for 5 years in Chicago before I moved in with my now husband in Richmond, VA. She is so loved by both of us and we have always done anything we could to take care of her.

Lulu is always glued by our side. She loves squeezing and backing into the smallest spaces so she can be next to us or find the comfiest and fluffy spot in the room - we swear she has a fluffy radar for this. Lulu is our best pal. We call her our little shadow. There is never a time when she doesn't want to be near us or part of the fun. Lulu is always there with a big smile (and probably her ball). After noticing Lulu's inability to walk, we took her to the vet immediately. Lulu has been diagnosed with a torn ligament in her back leg. She cannot put any weight on it and will require surgery for the best possible long-term outcome. Without the surgery, there could be complications down the road with her knee and leg. We want to keep her healthy for years to come.

We were completely taken aback when we heard the news of Lulu's diagnosis. Planning for veterinary expenses is never easy, but hearing about the cost of the surgery was something we were not prepared for.
