About this campaign
We rescued Lumi from an animal rescue organization 1 year ago. She is only 2 years old. When she was rescued she was malnourished, sunburned, pregnant, and had fleas. She now lives the happiest life and has gained weight and grown very fluffy hair. She got her name because she is all white and "lumi" means snow in a different language.
She is an indoor cat who is very curious about everything. She could play with a laser pointer or wand for hours! She loves to sleep directly on our chest or on our pillow. We have another cat in the household who she loves to play and cuddle with. She loves to eat her wet food and will meow the entire time you prepare it! All she wants is to play and be snuggled.
It would mean the world to have her healthy and pain-free. My partner and I both work overtime every week and cannot afford this surgery on our own, especially with how soon it is required.
She has been diagnosed with severe chronic stomatitis which causes her immense pain, especially when she eats. The condition causes lesions/ulcers and can infect other areas of her body and can potentially lead to death if untreated. She has been referred to the Veterinary Dental Clinic of NC and her waitlist has been waived due to the urgency of the surgery.
She is one of the most unique cats I have yet to meet! I have never seen a cat with so much energy or curiosity. She will get zoomies every day and hang off the cat tower. She will scratch at the backdoor constantly because she wants to go explore the patio. She also loves to get into the dog crate and sleep with our puppy.
