Luna is a 7-year-old Boxer mix in Arlington, TX, who needs $2,000 for Cushings Disease.

Luna was dumped at our house about 7 years ago. At the time she was the third dog we had rescued and she became our 2nd special needs dog. We have a total of 4 rescue dogs right now and 2 have special diet needs. About 3 years ago her personality started to change and we thought it was because of the new dog we rescued we now know it is her condition.

She is the sweetest dog ever, she licks everyone and wants attention from everyone. She is the same age as our 7 year old and they have been the best of friends. Luna and the 7 year old love to play and on some days just lay around and watch tv. Her and our other dog play together all the time and like to play tug of war.

She is the sweetest dog and she loves just laying around and watching tv with us, she just wants to be part of the pack. She likes to sit on my lap while I work on school and I think all 95 pounds of her thinks she is a cat and light as a feather. Speaking of our cat Milo, they love on each other and will catch them taking naps together along with Buzzy.

A couple of years ago her personality changed and she would pee every where not on purpose but because she couldn't make it out the door fast enough. The vet kept treating her for a urinary tract infection. She had a growth on her leg and we had it surgically removed, there were complications. We rushed her to the er and they found she has cushings disease. This is life long disease. No cure.

This past year has been hard with first covid and being out of work for 3 months, no pay and no help like everyone else. Changed jobs in August and now make half of what I use to make.
