About this campaign
I adopted Luna in the midst of the pandemic when she was 9 months old. She is now 3. I currently live with my parents and am a nursing student. I also have another female cat named Poppy.
Luna was the first family pet. But the thing that I liked was that she was mine. She taught me how to be responsible in caring for another living thing. When I first got her she was super shy and skidding around other people. Little did I know she’d be running around everywhere making a ruckus and waking me up at 3 in the morning to play. She enjoys being cuddled up with my anyone who has food.
Luna is definitely out of the ordinary compared to my other cat that I have now. She always did this weird thing under my bed that I’d call “crab walking” she’d latch on the wood pieces under my bed and crawl under like a spider monkey every night. Random times she’d meow at my ceiling fan and jump to try to catch it.
Luna wasn’t my problematic pet until about 6 months ago. I took her to the vet because I noticed inflamed gums. She was then told she had stomatitis. 6 months go by and she began to act erratic. She’s lost significant weight and need surgery to remove her teeth because she has a condition (FORL) and gingivitis. She’s been in a lot of pain.
I’m 20 years old with an associates degree. I’m currently in nursing school with a tuition of 80,000. Im in no form to be able to pay for her surgery and can’t risk just giving her up to someone who can. She means everything to me.
