About this campaign

We adopted Luna from a rescue group on Friday April 17. She was a stray found in Texas w her siblings. She was sweet but had scars and missing fur from her rough early start in life. She was a happy energetic puppy and I was so excited to bring her home to my family. My 7yo daughter was ecstatic and my 2yo dog was so happy to have a friend.

Luna is very smart. She sits pretty for a treat. She loves to chew and will play w any dog toy. She did wonderful on a leash for our first few walks. Luna is friendly and eager to meet anyone new. She was even good a fetch the first weekend in our house. She loves to cuddle to be talked to. She warmed up to our other dog almost immediately.

Friday we instructed to go to ER vet for plasma transfusion. 3 plasma and 1 red blood transfusion later she is still critical. BP meds, NG tube feeds and antibiotics. The bills are mounting quickly and we don’t want to give up. Animal ER Care in Colorado Springs

Luna began vomiting Sunday and I thought it was change in food. The rescue contacted me Monday stating the other puppies in her litter were also sick and they were concerned for parvo. I took Luna to the rescue Monday for meds and fluids. I checked in each day and her condition continued to get worse. Thursday I picked her up and brought her to my vet who did IV fluids and anti nausea meds.

She loves chewy and squeaky toys. She tilts her head sideways w high pitches noises. Luna insists on riding in someone’s lap no matter what bed or blanket we have in the car. Her favorite toy is a stuffed squeaky unicorn my daughter picked out. Her left ear never a sites the same way as her right ear.
