About this campaign

Our sweet Luna we found online December 2016. Our son was six years old at the time and asked for a pet of his own and we found Luna. The cutest little cotton ball, we fell in love with her when we saw her. Her ice blue eyes reminded us of the moon so we named her Luna. We currently live in a neighborhood where we give her walks and she is able to play with other dogs.

Three years ago, Luna was simply running and playing when she injured her cruciate ligament (left leg). Twin Valley Veterinary Hospital, Elverson PA, who are amazing team of people did x-rays, we found out that her anatomy in both her legs were developed uniquely different and would have difficultly with her legs. It wasn't too long before Luna's cruciate ligament (right leg) recently gave out.

My oldest son is autistic and struggled socially with his peers. Luna has been his rock and emotional support. She allows him to hug and love on her when he needs it. She just brings the smiles and life back into our son when he's down. She is sweet, energetic, and social butterfly. My youngest son is also autistic and she is very patient, loving with him as well.

It was difficult to pay for the first surgery which we are still making monthly payments for and its not possible to afford the 2nd surgery for her other leg. Its difficult financially and it's difficult to watch her miss out on playing like she once did.
