Luna came into my life as a rescue both her and me during Covid, She was crazy and high spirited with unlimited energy. that's when we found her purpose as a sent detection dog something we both have a passion for and something she is so good at. she is so smart and it gave us something to bond over

A month and a half ago she starting limping after getting up from sleeping and seemed to be loosing strength in her back legs, after taking her to the vet they said it was arthritis so I started her on a lot of supplements, after seeming to get worse I took her to a specialist at VCA Animal Center of Sonoma County. They said she has a full tear of her left CCL and a partial Tear of the right CCL

Luna is a babysitter to our 2 granddaughters 2 1/2 and 8 years olds, she is always watching to male sure they are safe. She loves playing in water but you can't get her near a bath. For a big girl she is as gentle as can be with the girls. She sleeps in our bed with my wife and I and hogs the covers. Her ultimate love is nose work hunting down different scents hidden in parks and buildings

My wife and I are seniors on a fixed income and the surgery is expensive but it hurts me to see her struggle to get up and limp. I will do anything i can to see healthy again and get back to running with the girls and sent training
