About this campaign

My last year in college, I kept saying I wanted to adopt a cat. I knew I would be moving for graduate school, so I figured I would wait. However, one day my mom called me and told me her coworkers neighbor had a pregnant cat who she stranded and left outside when she moved. My mom immediately went and took one of the kittens. She called me and told me that she had rescued a kitten from outside! In Georgia where I was living at the time, there are a lot of coyotes so she really did save her life for me. I immediately fell in love with her. Oh and by the way, we saved her on Halloween Day, so I decided her name needed to be something according and I named her Luna.

Luna was estimated to be about 6 weeks at the time we rescued her. She is now about to turn 3 years old in September. Luna is not just my best friend, she saved me more than I saved her. I went through some hard times and have suffered from anxiety and depression throughout my adolescence/early adulthood. Luna is my certified emotional support animal and I don't think any animal could really define an emotional support animal more than her. She knows when I am going through hard times and will not leave my side. She will even follow me into the shower. She will not let me be alone and also cheers me up. I have all of my previous mental health issues under control and have for a while now, but Luna still always brightens my day. As a graduate student, days are long and coming home to her is the best thing and always makes my day.
