Luna is a 9 year old Australian Shepherd in Mount Jackson, VA, who needs $2,000 for Mandibulectomy.

I adopted Luna when she was 8 weeks old from a horse farm in Ohio. I was looking for a companion to go with me everywhere. She has been apart of our lives for 9 years. She has helped us grow to be more loving and kind. Luna helped me raise my kids to be compassionate and patient.

Luna has a mass inside her mouth that appeared at the end of July. She needs a surgery because the mass has destroyed the bone. A biopsy has been completed and results will tell me if its cancer or not. If untreated this could affect her ability to eat later on. She is currently on wet food The hospital being used is Animal Dentistry and Oral Surgery in Leesburg VA.

I have very high anxiety and PTSD so I was told that this would help me a lot. She has been my guide through everything... Socializing, parenting, communication, compassion, and so much more. I trained her to follow me everywhere and to be able to be a leader to her. Luna motherly instincts to so many small animals her entire life; rats, birds, ferrets, snakes. She is the gentlest soul.

My financial need is help covering the rest of the Estimate that I can't. I currently have 2500 that I can put towards the Estimate. Her surgery is scheduled for Oct. 6 so I unfortunately have a very small window. I have applied to every grant I can try for.
