About this campaign
We took got Luna from a family who was giving her away for free and she has been the most recent addition to the family. We had two other dogs before we got her and she got along with our big dog instantly. Watching them play always brings a smile to our face because little Luna loves chasing big Koda around. Our other little dog and her are cuddle buddies because Spencer doesn’t like to play much
Luna shares the hallway space with Koda and Spencer in front of my sister and my room. We also have a dusty backyard that she loves to play and chase in. My sister and I spent time with her in the hallway or our rooms and absolutely love watching her get excited when we open our doors from the hallway so she can jump onto one of our beds to sleep with us.
When we first got Luna she was really scared of us. We think she might’ve had a traumatic past with her previous owners, it took a lot of time and patience for her to trust us. However the time we put in paid off and in time she shook off her shyness and became a cuddly, sweet, and welcoming ball of energy. She’s always been a little quirky and has a cute sideways sit, but that’s why we love her.
Luna has an infection in her uterus called pyometra. It’s in very early stages and we took her to our trusted and local vet as soon as we thought something was wrong. We went too the Animal Medical Center of the Antelope Valley and Dr. Lahijaniha took good care of her while they did tests and x-rays on our little girl.
My sister has been studying Bio Psychology at UCSB and she’s making our whole family proud by pursuing her education, but with that we’ve had to cut corners on expenses as it is. This surgery isn’t something we can afford right now .
