Luna is a 5-year-old Chihuahua in Redwood City , CA, who needs $2,000 for Ablation of Both Ears.

I found Luna on Craigslist in November 2017. She was said to have been abandoned and left inside an empty apartment found by the family who lived next door. She was close to 6 months old and I drove to Berkeley to get her. The family was a young woman with adorable 1 year old twin boys. They had a hard time saying goodbye I could see that she loved them so I kept the name they gave her.

Luna is my support animal who goes everywhere with me including my two job sites. We are incredibly attached to one another. She loves all other animals and was very loving to the kittens we fostered. Almost motherly and she was just a baby herself. She is very protective of me and my daughter and very untrusting of males figures and people in uniform. Never bites but does bark.

Luna has a kitty brother who’s name is Kush and many fur friends as well. She and him play wrestle quite often and it quite funny. I work at a drug treatment program and we have a black lab named Lani. They used to play a lot before Luna got sick. Lani checks on her every day. We also have fish, and the first thing she does when we get to work is run up to the fish tank to say good morning.

Luna was initially getting treatment at a different clinic, but I was unhappy with the services provided or lack there of. I called around and went to the VCA in June of this year. After exam the urged me to see a dermatologist right away. The search was hard. A veterinary dermatologist is incredibly rare and few exits in the area, but I found our new doctor.

Getting Luna medical care for almost a year & a specialist for 4 months, I’ve created some serious credit card debt. I’m a single mom workin 2 jobs 7 days a week. Luna goes with me to both jobs every day. Everyone loves her I will do anything possible to end her suffering
