About this campaign
Luna is a 6-year-old dog who lives with my fiancé and me in our apartment with a patio in San Diego. We adopted her just before COVID, and she has been a cherished member of our family ever since. She is an indoor dog who enjoys spending time with us and being part of our daily routines.
Luna was recently diagnosed with acute glaucoma in both eyes and has already lost vision in one eye. She is receiving treatment through Veterinary Specialty Hospital (VSH) in San Diego. Her condition requires ongoing medications and specialty eye care, with surgery recommended to help preserve the vision she has remaining.
Luna has been our therapy dog and constant source of comfort through life's challenges. She is incredibly smart, came to us already potty trained, and has a quirky personality that often reminds us of a cat. Even my parents, who never liked dogs, completely fell in love with her after meeting her.
Luna's diagnosis came as a complete shock and created significant financial strain. The recommended surgery is about $10,000, with medications costing $200 every two weeks. Luna is the bright spot in our lives, and preserving her vision would mean everything to our family.
