About this campaign

Little Luna is just 1 year old. She’s barely old enough to understand the world around her, and yet she’s already experienced deep betrayal.

She came to ShelterFree New York as an owner surrender and was quickly adopted. But just 24 hours later, Luna was returned. Her new adopter never gave her a chance to adjust to her new life. And worse, he admitted to hitting her and punishing her for accidents, despite never taking her outside.

At just 8 weeks old, Luna had already learned fear instead of love. She never even got a chance to just be a puppy. Thankfully, she was sent to a trusted board-and-train facility in upstate New York, where she’s now receiving the care, patience, and training she desperately needs. She's learning basic commands, how to trust again, and how to enjoy life as the playful, loving pup she was meant to be.

But healing comes at a cost. Her training and care total over $700 a month, and as a small rescue, they simply can’t do this alone. They need your support to fund her training and spay surgery and get this baby girl adopted out to a family who loves her more than the world itself. Thank you for caring for sweet Luna.
