About this campaign
Lydia was a "working mom" at a cattery. One day she was sent to us to meet our cat Ralph, they spent a couple of month together and pregnant Lydia was sent back to the breeder. Ralph and Lydia had 6 kittens together. Happened to be she rejected all other cats and missed Ralph dearly. We adopted her and Ralph and Lydia have lived happily ever after since they reunited.
Ralph and Lydia are inseparable, they developed really special bond and love each other as much as we love them. There are three humans, a golden doodle and the two cats in our family. And every one of us means a lot to each other. We treat our pets as family members and address their needs very seriously.
The vet bills are huge although we are looking for all the possibilities to give Lydia a chance. She is very healthy cat otherwise and not aware of the silent killer in her body. Evaluation itself was $1000+, the mastectomy $3100+, we desperately need help with chemo.
Lydia was diagnosed with mammary cancer on 01/27/21. Her condition was evaluated by The Oncology Service Richmond and was given a good long term survival (>1000 days) chance with a unilateral radical mastectomy followed by chemotherapy. Her tumor is classified as a grade II/intermediate mammary gland carcinoma, they note vascular invasion throughout the tumor.
Lydia is a super sweet cat, a bit shy and in uncertain circumstances hides behind Ralph's back. But they also always are ready to stand for each other if needed. If Lydia accidently gets locked out in a room Ralph always rescues her with our help. Ralph and Lydia are inseparable for 5+ years. But I think she loves me, too :-) I cannot imagine my trip to the bathroom without her supervision.
