Mable is a 9 year old Mix-Breed in Zimmerman , MN, who needs $1,200 for Diabetic Meds and Appointments.

I adopted Mable on July 10th, 2024. I was so excited to get her! I live in an apartment, and that morning of the 10th, I called my landlord to make sure she got the paperwork, stating she was up to date on all her vaccines and was fixed; she approved Mable, and I got her that afternoon! Mable was surrendered to an animal rescue. She was there for a long time. She got surrendered on 05/24/23.

Mable is getting her treatment for diabetes through All Pets Vet Hospital and Equine Services- Zimmerman, MN. I noticed she was drinking more water and urinating more, and I thought maybe she had diabetes. On 9/24/24, Dr. Mattson diagnosed her with diabetes. She started Bexacat on 9/29/24 and got a check on 10/4/24, and treatment is going well.

When I first got Mable, I gently threw a French fry at her, thinking she would eat it. She played with it for a few days before I decided it was time for the French fry to go. She is super picky about food; it's crazy that she does not eat any human food and is so well-mannered. She does not jump up on the countertops! She is also so cuddly, and we bonded right away the first day I got her.

I am a full-time online college student studying social work, doing a part-time, unpaid hospice social work internship, and a part-time certified nursing assistant. Money was tight before Mable got sick. I am not giving up on her; she was in foster care too long.
